> Chan Master Xinghui of Shuangfeng on the Southern Peak ascended the hall and said, "Southern barbarians sail a boat; northerners at the frontier row an oar; a Persian enters the Great Tang; Mount Sumeru dances. What kind of talk is this?" On the seventeenth day of the ninth month of the sixth year of the Yuanfeng era, the Master shaved his hair, bathed, and bid farewell to the assembly with a verse: "Ninety-two years of time / Clearly spoken to the assembly: / Cold clouds scatter from the distant cave; / The waning moon crosses the secluded west." Having finished speaking, he passed away while sitting. After his cremation, his teeth and cranium remained intact, radiating unusual five-colored light.
