> We reply: Examining Cui Hong's Shiliuguo chunqiu, there are no such persons. From what historical records do they come? Fabricating slander and false accusations, deluding the lord and king, we request you check the national histories to see this reckless memorial. According to the Books of the Former and Later Han, there were dozens of bandit groups such as those of Kunyang, Changshan, Qingni, Yuanlin, Heishan, Baima, Yellow Turbans, and Red Eyebrows, all of whom were laypeople and had nothing to do with the sons of Śākya. Why do you not mention them?
