All of us have already looked up to \[the Buddha's\] customs, taken in his transformation, severed attachments, and renounced glory; how could we not be filled with reverent dread and increase our utmost sincerity, competing between our physical bodies and our lifespans? Therefore, one ought to make one's nature pure and harmonious, have pity and compassion for all embodied beings, maintain an equal mind to rescue them, bestow the Dharma as a gift, not violate, not take, never refuse what is sought, constantly set one's intent on the Mahāyāna, and have inner and outer accord with each other.
