Smelting the stone of Kunwu, refining the copper of Ruoxi, the master smiths of Ying at the vast furnace transformed these into this divine vessel. Though the season fell under the \[pitch of\] Ruobin, its tone harmonized with Yize. Thus the Chunqiu waizhuan says: 'That which sings the nine standards makes the people harmonious without duality.' Broadly propagating the two teachings, they together return to the same principle. The metal and stone secretly tally, and gods and humans both accord. Through the nine celestial palaces and nine terrestrial stages, it penetrates far into the profound mystery; throughout the three thousand great thousand worlds, it is heard far unto the borders. In silver halls offerings are made, welcoming companions of the Dharma to pursue the sound; at the golden towers the perfected descend, awaiting immortal caps to hearken to the resonance.
