> The Wulian jing says: 'For one who attains extinction, use colored silk: the Son of Heaven uses one pi; dukes and kings, one zhang; commoners, five chi. Superior gold of five ounces is used to make a dragon; commoners use iron and five five-colored stones to write the jade text. It is exposed and buried throughout the night at a depth of three chi.' The Nüqing wen says: 'The departed souls of the nine generations of ancestors immediately emerge from the long night and enter the Heaven of Radiant Light, provided with kitchen meals for thirty-two years; they return to their former bodies and are born anew.'
