> Emperor Gaozu of the Han was on the throne (twelve years);
> Emperor Hui (seven years);
> Emperor Wen, the fourth son of Gaozu (not the principal heir);
> Emperor Wu, originally the King of Jiaodong, the sixth son of Emperor Jing (not the principal heir).
> In the time of Filial Jing, the seven kingdoms including Wu and Chu all rebelled. When Emperor Zhao collapsed, his brother's son, the King of Changyi, was installed; he was on the throne for twenty-seven days, having committed in all one thousand one hundred and twenty-seven transgressions. Huo Guang deposed him and later installed Emperor Xuan. At this time there was no Buddhism; why then was it like this?
