折疑論 1.43

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.43](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2118.1.43)

> and take the ultimate truth of the Buddhist scriptures as the supreme summit. (The 'ultimate truth' is the supreme discourse of the doctrinal vehicles. What has been attained by those in sagely stages is the ultimate truth \[paramārtha-satya\]; what has not escaped worldly feelings is the conventional truth \[saṃvṛti-satya\]. At this point, neither conventional nor ultimate is established, and feelings of ordinary and sagely are exhausted; not clinging to the two extremes, only the Middle Way remains. Therefore it is called the ultimate truth. This is used as an analogy for the supreme summit.)
