折疑論 2.14

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.14](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2118.2.14)

高不出於丘陵。則跛羊陵其巔（上一陵字丘陵也。下一陵字侮也。意謂泰山之高大。而不過於丘陵。跛羊亦侮戲於巔頂）。

> If great height did not surpass mounds and hills, then a lame sheep could strut atop its summit. (The first 'ling' refers to mounds and hills; the second 'ling' means to disrespect or take lightly. The meaning is that if the height of Mount Tai did not surpass mounds and hills, even a lame sheep could play disrespectfully on its summit.)
