> Wings that brush the sky do not roost upon stems of coarse reeds. (藿 is pronounced huguan fan. For 'wings that brush the sky', the 'Free and Easy Wandering' chapter of the Zhuangzi says: 'In the northern darkness there is a fish named Kun... It transforms into a bird named Peng... When it rouses and flies, its wings are like clouds hanging from the sky. Beating its wings, it strikes the waters for three thousand li, and spiraling upward, rises ninety thousand li.' 'Coarse reeds' are slender reeds. How could the sky-brushing wings of the great Peng bird ever roost upon slender reeds?)
