- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.156](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2118.3.156)

> Although the sun and moon are high, they suffer eclipses; (The \*Record of Yin and Yang\* says: 'The sun is the master of all yang; the moon is the essence of extreme yin.' Speaking of height, the sun and moon are more than forty thousand yojanas—also called \*yojanas\*—from the earth, one yojana being forty li. At such height, they still have the afflictions of eclipses.)
