> The śramaṇa Amoghavajra states: Humbly receiving the Palace Envoy Yuan Yingquan, who proclaimed the Sagely Inquiries and bestowed white silk and other items, I held them with shame and dread, not knowing what to do. I humbly consider: Unskilled in the methods of nourishing life, I brought sickness and suffering upon myself. My efforts falling short, calamity and untimely death struck Qionghua. Yet again bathed in the Sagely Grace, inquiries and gifts have arrived repeatedly. Incapable of bearing the height of my grief and gratitude, I respectfully attach this memorial to express thanks and make it heard. The śramaṇa Amoghavajra, with genuine fear and genuine trembling, respectfully speaks.
