> The monk Amoghavajra states: The palace commissioner Li Xiancheng has respectfully proclaimed the sacred will, conveying one imperial edict concerning the catalog of newly translated scriptures and one imperial edict answering the memorial presenting the scriptures, specially ordering them to be promulgated throughout the capital and provinces, and entered into the catalog of all scriptures. Reverently holding them aloft, I am overjoyed and indebted beyond measure, truly joyful and trembling, repeatedly sighing and abashed. I prostrate in contemplation that Your Majesty has received the entrustment of the Dharma King, fulfilled the aspirations of the people's hearts, held the esoteric mudrā of Samantabhadra, and practiced the correct governance of the Son of Heaven. Throughout the twelve hours, you brighten the sun of wisdom upon the eight directions; in an instant, you pour vast favor onto the myriad things. This is the extreme good fortune of the entire realm, how much more so for Amoghavajra! Now, the sacred scriptures translated by Amoghavajra over more than forty years and three successive reigns have been to assist in cultivating merits with the aim of broad dissemination, supporting the royal house above and moistening living beings below. How could I have anticipated that the aspiration of my youth would be fully realized in a single day? The sacred grace is so vast that it would be hard to repay even across multiple kalpas. What is more, you have specially permitted the translation of all remaining untranslated Sanskrit manuscripts, doubling my grief and joy. I dare to exhaust all my strength and mind to obey the sacred decree, successively translating and presenting them to the throne. Unable to bear my extreme joy, trembling, and gratitude, I respectfully present this memorial through Palace Commissioner Li Xiancheng to report. Amoghavajra, truly delighted and ashamed, respectfully speaks.
