> The base of neither perception nor non-perception, also called the heaven of perception and non-perception. There was \[Udraka\] Rāmaputra, who did not accept the Buddha's transformation and passed away. The Buddha predicted that he would be born in the heaven of perception and non-perception, and that afterwards he would again become a winged vicious flying-fox, so that neither flying \[birds\] nor walking beasts could escape him; and upon the end of that life, he would be born in hell. The life span in this heaven is eighty-four thousand kalpas, or slightly less. (From the Saṃyuktāgama and Ekottarikāgama; the Loutan jing says: Above, there is a heaven named "No-perception, thinking, and also having thoughts heaven".)
