What are the eight? First, obtaining a dignified and fine complexion; second, obtaining great and flourishing strength; third, obtaining abundant retinue; fourth, obtaining immeasurable eloquence; fifth, quickly becoming an ascetic when studying; sixth, purity in conduct; seventh, obtaining samādhi concentration; eighth, obtaining the brilliance of wisdom that illuminates everywhere. If a Dharma master spreads a seat to chant this scripture, they obtain the blessings of eight seats. What are the eight? First, obtaining the seat of an elder; second, obtaining the seat of a cakravartin; third, obtaining the seat of the King of the Gods (Śakra); fourth, obtaining the seat of the King of Paranirmitavaśavartin; fifth, obtaining the seat of an arhat; sixth, obtaining the seat of a bodhisattva; seventh, obtaining the seat of a Tathāgata; eighth, obtaining the seat of turning the wheel of the Dharma to deliver all sentient beings. If a Dharma master proclaims this Dharma and there are those who praise it with 'Sadhu!', they will obtain eight pure practices. What are the eight? First, their words and actions correspond, without any breach; second, the words of their mouth are deeply sincere and without falsehood; third, in an assembly they are truthful without deception; fourth, what they say is trusted by people and not cast aside; fifth, what they say is gentle and never harsh; sixth, their voice is sorrowful and harmonious, like a mournful luan-bird; seventh, body and mind adapt to the occasion and the voice is like Brahmā, so that when those in the assembly hear it, all seek and receive it; eighth, the sound is like a Buddha's, pleasing to the minds of sentient beings. If someone writes out this scripture, they obtain eight great treasuries. What are the eight?
