> The movements and transformations of the mind and consciousness are inherently impermanent in principle. When understanding and delusion overturn one another, how can the sages leave any trace? With mind clarified and serene illumination, they respond to circumstances like echoes. That which is called quiescent and unmoving connects through sympathetic resonance. Awakening to the Way according to conditions, spiritual transformation then unfolds. Hence, the application of words and texts encompasses the entire cosmos, and the holy transformations follow all directions, encompassing the entire dharmadhātu. Were it not for the supreme sage endowed with the six spiritual knowledges, who could bestow guidance across the five destinies?
