### [28.17](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2122.28.17)

> The Mahāprajñāpāramitā-śāstra also states: Bright moon maṇi jewels are mostly found in dragons' brains. Sentient beings with merit naturally obtain them. They are also called wish-fulfilling jewels. They constantly produce all precious items, clothing, food, and drink, obtaining everything according to wish. For whoever obtains this jewel, poison cannot harm them, and fire cannot burn them. Or else, when the vajra wielded by Śakra fought with the asuras, pieces shattered and fell onto Jambudvīpa, transforming into this jewel. It is also said: Long ago in the past, after the relics and Dharma of Buddhas had completely vanished, they transformed into this jewel to bring benefit.
