> According to the Qishi jing: Whatever commerce the people of Jambudvīpa have is carried out using coins and jewels, grain and silk, or living creatures. Whatever commerce the people of Godānīya have is carried out using cattle and sheep, or maṇi jewels. Whatever commerce the people of Videha have is carried out using wealth and silks, the five grains, or maṇi jewels. The people of Uttarakuru no longer have commerce; what they desire appears spontaneously. As the Qishi jing states: The devas of the Kāmadhātu, such as the Heaven of the Four Heavenly Kings and the Trāyastriṃśa Heaven, all have markets for sightseeing and delighting their spirits. In reality they are unlike worldly people, as explained above.
