- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [33.75](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2122.33.75)

> Wang Ningzhi of Langya in the Jin was Left General of the Jin, and his wife, Lady Xie, was the daughter of Xie Yi. She had lost two sons in succession, mourned them excessively, and wept for years as if in the deepest grief. Later, she suddenly saw both sons return, wearing fetters and chains. They consoled their mother, saying she should ease her grief: 'We both have guilt. If you take pity on us, you may make merit on our behalf.' Thereupon her mourning gradually ceased, and she diligently practiced meritorious deeds. (The above two verifications are from the \*Mingxiang ji\*).
