> Beside the stūpa is Zhuji County, the site of the former capital of Yue. Zhuji was formed from four counties: Gouzhang, Yin, Mou, and Shan. One hundred and seven li northeast, in Dabu Township, is the ancient city of Yue, with a circumference of three li. The Local Gazetteer says: "In the middle period of Yue, its capital was located here." The remaining foundations of detached palaces and country villas still exist. Camphor trees grow all around, mostly alongside the gates and steps, standing in orderly rows, tall, upright, and lovely. During wind, rain, and the dark of the new moon, the sound of bells and chimes can still be heard. To this day, the common people mostly harbour solemn reverence. Its traces are manifold.
