> As for the Linhuang pagoda in Weizhou, it is located thirty li west of the county seat. It was originally called Śarīra Temple and is now inhabited by nuns. The base and the pagoda are still present. It is surrounded by water on three sides, with a road opened only on the west. The foundation is made of laid stones; from the water’s bottom upward, lotus flowers fill the three sides. The water is extremely deep, and people are afraid to enter it. Tradition says that the śarīra pagoda is suspended in mid-air within that water, just like the one in Zhengzhou. It has now been redesignated under the Great Area Command of Jizhou.
