> "Like a man carrying a bowl of oil, / Motionless, spilling nothing, / His wondrous wisdom with a mind like the ocean, / Concentrates on carrying the vessel of oil. / If a person wishes to train in the Path, / He should hold his mind in just this way. / Harboring all virtuous brilliance in his mind, / He eliminates all blemishes whatsoever. / When varied sensual desires / Give rise to anger and delusion, / One who has resolve is not heedless, / But tranquil, extinguished, and self-restrained. / When the human body has disease, / Medicine is used to eliminate it; / Mental sickness is also like this: / The four applications of mindfulness dispel it."
