> Furthermore, Shi She was a man of Chu who served his parents filially. In the time of King Zhao, he served as chief minister. While traveling the road, he saw someone commit murder in the distance; pursuing him, it turned out to be his own father. She released his father, returned, and put himself in prison. He sent someone to say to the king: 'To govern through one's father is unfilial; to set aside the law and release the guilty is disloyal. I beg to die to redeem my father.' He then slit his own throat. (The above two verifications are taken from the records of the Shuoyuan.)
