> Indolent in study, one is confused about the Three Teachings;
> when questioned, one does not understand a single thing.
> Joining calyxes without forming a kernel,
> how can blooming flowers yield fruit?
> In vain one produces an arrogant mind;
> oppressing others will come to no good end.
> Falling into the paths of gloomy darkness,
> locked tightly in deep confinement.
> Once entered, for hundreds and thousands of years,
> myriads of billions of agonies press sharply.
> Facing the suffering, one regrets one's ignorance,
> which was truly brought about by indolence and arrogance.
> The perfected person is skilled at drawing analogies;
> both the foolish and the wise must clarify the rules.
> When the haughty hero despises the Dharma,
> how could he foresee the regrets of today?
