- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [67.11](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2122.67.11)

> 'Furthermore, by wisdom born of hearing or by the divine eye, one sees flavour-hating worms residing beneath the head in the root of the throat. How do these worms cause me illness and affliction, or bring about comfort? One sees that these worms detest flavours and crave only a single flavour: they either crave sweet flavours and detest other flavours, or crave sour flavours and detest other flavours. Whatever flavour they detest, I also detest; whatever flavour the worms crave, I also crave. There is a channel at the tip of the tongue that accommodates flavours; it causes the tongue to dry up, and because the worms become angry, they cause the tongue to flutter and twitch, or cause the throat to contract coughing illness. If they do not become angry, the throat will be free of the aforementioned illnesses.'
