### [98.20](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2122.98.20)

> "All things inevitably return to destruction; / nothing is ever permanently secure. / Mount Sumeru and the waters of the ocean / will also melt away and dry up when the kalpa ends. / The mighty and powerful in the world / will inevitably fall back into decay and ruin. / My son, in the past, / diligently and arduously gathered all practices; / thus he was able to attain right awakening / and proclaim the Dharma treasury for the multitude. / How is it that at that time / it will all be submerged and exhausted completely?"
