What are the five? First, the caregiver does not distinguish good medicines; second, is indolent and lacks vigorous zeal; third, is constantly prone to anger and fond of sleep; fourth, cares for the sick only out of greed for clothing and food; fifth, does not provide offerings in accordance with the Dharma and does not converse back and forth with others. This is called a caregiver of the sick possessing five conditions who causes \[the patient\] not to recover quickly.'
