> Furthermore, the Puguang jing states: "When disciples of the four classes observe the fast and precepts, they should hold the thought in mind of inviting the Saṅgha of the ten directions, without choosing between good or evil, upholding precepts or breaking precepts, or high or low conduct. When going to the stūpas and monasteries to invite monks, they should make offerings according to the order of the Saṅgha without discriminatory thoughts; their blessings will be manifold, immeasurable, and boundless. If they encounter arhats, individuals of the four fruits of the path, or those of great aspiration, their merit will bring limitless blessings; upon hearing the Dharma once, they can attain the supreme path, anuttara-nirvāṇa."
