> Furthermore, the Warm Room Sūtra states: The Buddha told the Elder Jīvaka: 'In the method of bathing, one should use seven things to eliminate seven illnesses and obtain seven retributions of blessings. What are the seven things? The first is lighting a fire; the second is pure water; the third is bath powder; the fourth is ghee and oil; the fifth is refined ash; the sixth is willow twigs; the seventh is inner garments. This is the method of bathing. What is meant by eliminating seven illnesses? The first is that the four elements are at peace; the second is the removal of wind ailments; the third is the removal of damp bi; the fourth is the removal of cold and chill; the fifth is the removal of heat vapors; the sixth is the removal of dirt and grime; the seventh is that the body is light and supple, and the eyes are clear. These are the elimination of the seven illnesses. Obtaining the seven blessings are: first, the four elements are without illness and wherever one is born one is always at peace; second, wherever one is born one is pure and one's face and head are upright and handsome; third, one's body is always fragrant and clothes are clean; fourth, one's skin is soft and lustrous, endowed with great majesty and light; fifth, one has many attendants to brush away dust and dirt; sixth, one's mouth and teeth are fragrant and fine, and what one speaks is respected and obeyed; seventh, wherever one is born, clothing appears spontaneously.'
