> The Zhoushu yiji says: On the eighth day of the fourth month, the Jiayin year, the twenty-fourth year of King Zhao, the rivers, springs, and pools suddenly overflowed, wells gushed up, and palaces shook. That night, five-colored light and vapors pierced the Taiwei constellation and spread across the western quarter, turning the color of a green-blue rainbow. At that time the king asked Grand Astrologer Su You. You replied: 'A great sage has emerged in the western quarter, hence this auspicious omen has appeared.' The king asked: 'Will there be any harm to the state?' He replied: 'After one thousand years, his voice and teachings will reach here.'
