槍林（七羊反蒼頡篇木兩頭銳也案今槍者兵仗也水長丈餘兩頭施鐵刃謂之槍說文槍距也從木倉聲也）。

> Forest of spears: \[the character 槍\] has the fanqie \*qi\* + \*yang\*. The \*Cang Jie pian\* states: 'Wood sharpened at both ends.' In my view, the spear today is a weapon; made of wood over a zhang in length, fitted with iron blades at both ends, it is called a spear (槍). The \*Shuowen\* states: '槍 means to resist.' It has the wood radical (木) and 倉 as its phonetic component.
