> Jambūnada gold (Sanskrit. The first character is fanqie: shi- + -yan, composed of 'cowrie' with zhan, pronounced zhan, as phonetic; the third is fanqie: nu- + -ge, composed of 'hand' with nai as phonetic. Sanskrit name for top-grade yellow gold. Formerly called yanfutanjin. The Qishi yinben jing says: 'Beneath the waters along the great ocean coast of this continent of Jambudvīpa, this gold is found; on the dry land of the shore there are jambu trees. When a wheel-turning sage king appears in the world, he employs spirits and ghosts to retrieve this gold for use; therefore, it is found occasionally in the human realm; it is the most supreme and excels all other gold').
