一切經音義 14.38

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [14.38](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2128.14.38)

蚯蚓（上音丘下音引案周公時訓云立夏冬五日蚯蚓出冬至之日蚯蚓結尒雅亦名螼螾江東謂之歌女盖方俗語也）。

> 蚯蚓 Earthworms: (The first character is pronounced 丘 \[qiū\]; the second character is pronounced 引 \[yǐn\]. I note that the Shixun of the Duke of Zhou says: "Five days after the Beginning of Summer, earthworms come out; on the day of the Winter Solstice, earthworms curl up." The Erya also calls them 螼螾 \[qǐnyǐn\]. In the region east of the Yangtze they are called 'singing women' \[歌女\], which is presumably a local dialect expression).
