躃地（毘壁反集訓云躃也從足辟聲也經文從人作僻非也乃便僻字也考聲云不長不短舉止輕易也非躃倒字也又音匹亦反僻側字也甚乖經百也）。

> Falling to the ground (躃地; \*pí\* + \*bì\* fanqie. The \*Jixun\* states: "\*Bì\* means to stumble/fall; derived from the \*zú\* (foot) radical with \*pì\* as phonetic." The sūtra text writes it with the \*rén\* (person) radical as 僻, which is incorrect, for that is the character for sycophantic (\*biànpì\*). The \*Kaosheng\* states: "Neither tall nor short, bearing oneself lightly and easily," not the word for falling down. Also pronounced \*pǐ\* + \*yì\* fanqie, meaning secluded/deviant, which diverges entirely from the meaning of the sūtra).
