- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [20.39](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.2128.20.39)

短矟（雙捉反廣雅云矟矛也說文云從矛肖聲經本從木作槊是木名也非兵器下第四卷內刀矟同）。

> 短矟 ("short lances"; \[the latter\] fanqie: 雙 + 捉. The Guangya says: "Shuo (矟) means a spear." The Shuowen says: "It takes 矛 as semantic and 肖 as phonetic." In the sūtra text it is written with 木 as 槊, which is the name of a tree and not a weapon. Below in the fourth fascicle, 'swords and lances' (刀矟) is the same).
