(The first character has the fanqie \*hua\* + \*wan\* \[huán\], which is the same in Zheng's commentary. The \*Liji\* states: "\*Huan\* means encircling; it is round." The \*Guangya\* states: "Round." The \*Shuowen\* states: "Formed with \*yu\* (jade) and has \*huan\* abbreviated phonetic." The second character has the fanqie \*chuan\* + \*lian\* \[chuàn\]. The \*Yunying\* states: "A \*chuàn\* is an armlet." The \*Xu Hanshu\* states: "Sun Cheng and others enthroned Emperor Shun, and the emperor bestowed on Cheng and the others carriages, horses, and gold armlets (\*chuàn\*)." The \*Gujin zhengzi\* states: "Formed with \*jin\* (metal) and has \*chuan\* phonetic." Sūtra editions write it with \*yu\* (jade) as 玔, which is erroneous).
