- **Language:** Classical Chinese

不告勞（孟康注韓詩曰古名吏休假曰告也又案告謂告訴即辭憚之言故詩曰王事鞅掌不敢告勞是也）。

> Bugao lao 不告勞 \[not pleading fatigue\] (Meng Kang's commentary on the Han Poetry says: 'In ancient times, when an official took leave, it was called gao 告.' Furthermore, gao 告 means to complain, which is an expression of declining out of dread; hence the Shijing says: 'The king's affairs are pressing; I dare not plead fatigue,' which is this).
