無屈撓行（撓女教及如紹二反杜注左傳曰撓曲也漢書集注曰撓弱也此中文意明精進波羅蜜勇捍策勤無退屈無怯弱也撓字正應從木經本有從扌者音呼高反撓擾之字非此所用也）。

> Wu qunao xing 無屈撓行 \[practice of unyielding vigor\] (Nao 撓 is pronounced nü + jiao \[nào\] and ru + shao \[rào\]. Du's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: 'Nao 撓 means bent.' The Collected Commentaries on the Hanshu say: 'Nao 撓 means weak.' The meaning in this text clarifies that in the perfection of vigor (vīrya-pāramitā), one is courageous and resolute, urging oneself forward with no retreat, bending, or cowardice. The character nao 撓 should properly take the wood radical (木); some editions have it with the hand radical (扌), pronounced hu + gao \[hāo\], which is the character nao 擾 meaning disturbance, and is not what is used here).
