振䘏（振之刃反䘏須聿反鄭注禮記云振救也又注周禮曰䘏憂貧也振字古體作挋有本作賑賑給之義也䘏字說文云憂䘏從心䘏少從阝爾雅通用今案諸書依說文從卪為勝也）。

> To relieve and aid \[振䘏\] (zhen \[振\] is pronounced 之刃 \[tɕ- + (n)iənH \> zhèn\]; xu \[䘏\] is pronounced 須聿 \[s- + (j)uət \> xù\]. Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: “Zhen means to rescue.” His commentary on the Zhouli also says: “Xu means to pity the poor.” The ancient form of the character zhen was written 挋; some editions have 賑, which carries the meaning of giving aid. Regarding the character xu, the Shuowen says: “To pity and care for; it takes the heart radical \[恤\] or takes the ear radical \[䘏\].” The Erya uses them interchangeably. Now, examining various books, following the Shuowen with the xin radical \[or its variant\] is superior).
