> 龍腦 ("camphor"; examining the Record of the Western Regions, it says: 'The karpūra incense tree has the trunk of a pine but different leaves, and its flowers and fruit are also distinct. When first gathered while wet, it does not yet have fragrance; after the wood dries, it is processed and split open, and within it is the incense, resembling mica in appearance and ice and snow in colour. This is called dragon-brain incense \[camphor\]').
