> Luofa Longwang \[Spiral-Haired Dragon King\] (Fanqie: 魯 + 和. This dragon king's hair is curled like a conch-topknot, resembling the form of a snail. The Shuowen says: the character 蠃 is composed with the insect radical and 𣎆 as phonetic; the character 𣎆 is composed with 亡, 口, 肉, and 凡, pronounced with the fanqie: 力 + 臥. In the scriptures it is mostly written as 螺, a colloquial character not found in the various character dictionaries).
