The Fangyan says: "From the Hangu Pass eastward, between Song and Wei, it is called 螾𧎘; east of Liang and Song, it is called 入耳 ('ear-enterer'); in Northern Yan it is called 𧈳蚭." In the collected commentaries on the Erya, Li Xun says: "The large blue-green ones are called 螾𧎘; the small yellow ones are called 入耳. The people of Qi call it 距窮; the people of Zhao call it 蛈虶; it is also called 長囇. These are all variant names for the house centipede (蚰蜒)."
