常嗁（弟泥反考聲集訓竝云哭無常節曰嗁說文嗁號也從口虒聲虒音同上說文虒字從虎厂聲厂音曳經從帝作啼悲也）。

> 常嗁 \[always weeping\] (The second character has the fanqie \[弟+泥\] tí. Both the Kaosheng and the Jixun state: wailing without regular measure is called tí. The Shuowen says: tí means wailing; it is composed of 'mouth' with sī phonetic; sī has the same pronunciation as above. The Shuowen says the character sī is composed of 'tiger' with the radical 厂 (pronounced yè) phonetic. In the sūtra it is written with 'emperor' as 啼, meaning sorrowful).
