> 缺漏 \[deficiencies and flaws\] (the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 犬 + 悅 \[quē\]. The \*Cang Jie pian\* states: 'It means deficient.' The \*Shuowen\* states: 'A broken vessel; classified under the radical \[乞-乙+正\] with 夬 as its phonetic component.' The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 力 + 豆 \[lòu\]. Gu Yewang states: '漏 is like leaking.' Xu Shuzhong's commentary on the \*Huainanzi\* states: '漏 means pierced through.' The \*Shuowen\* states: 'Rain entering through a pierced roof; classified under 雨 over 尸, where 尸 represents the roof.' The sūtra text writes it under the water radical 水, which is also the same).
