> Bladder and stomach (脬𦝩): The first character is read with the fanqie 普 + 包. The Shuowen says: '脬 is the urinary vessel beside the bladder.' The Kaosheng says: 'The urinary bladder; the vessel containing urine.' Wang Shuhe's Maijing says: 'The bladder pouch holds five pints and three gills. When the bladder is diseased, urine is obstructed.' It is written in the sūtra text as 胞, which is incorrect; 胞 is the placenta of a child, not the meaning of the sūtra. The second character is read with the fanqie 韋 + 畏. The Yunying says: 'Intestines and stomach.' The Bohu tong says: 'The stomach is the receptacle of the spleen.' The Shuowen says: 'The receptacle of grain. It derives from 肉 and 胃, being a pictographic character.'
