疊磑（上音牒考聲云疊重也說文從三曰作疊新改為三田下從冝會意字下吾會反說文磑䃺也從石豈聲古者魯斑初作磑䃺音莫箇反考聲磨麦具也）。

> Tiered millstones (疊磑: the first character is pronounced dié. The Kaosheng says: "疊 means layered/repeated." The Shuowen originally had it with three 日 as 疊, and newly altered it to three 田 with 冝 below, an associative compound character. The second character is wú + huì fanqie. The Shuowen says: "磑 means millstone (䃺); it takes the radical 石 and has 豈 as phonetic." In ancient times, Lu Ban first made the millstone; 䃺 is pronounced mò + gè fanqie. The Kaosheng says: "An implement for grinding wheat").
