> 𮚐贈 ('funerary gifts'): For the first character, the fanqie is \[f- + u \>\] fū and \[f- + eng \>\] fèng. It refers to items sent to assist in mourning; chariots and horses \[sent for mourning\] are called 𮚐. The Lesser Oya says: 'When starving to death, giving aid is called 𮚐.' The Baihu tong says: '𮚐 means rushing (fù); that by which one rushes to assist.' The second character has the fanqie \[z- + ai \>\] zài and \[d- + eng \>\] dèng. Valued goods \[given\] are called 贈; they are that by which one assists the living, sees off the dead, cherishes remembrance, and honours the end. 贈 means to send off; it also means to increase.
