> 傴僂 ('hunchbacked and stooped'): For the first character, the fanqie is \[y- + u \>\] yǔ and \[j- + u \>\] jǔ. The Guangya says: '傴 means bent and crooked.' Gu Yewang says: '傴 is when the body is bent even more, showing increased deference.' The Shuowen says: '傴 means 僂. Composed of 人 with 區 phonetic.' For the second character, the fanqie is \[l- + ong \>\] lóng and \[r- + u \>\] rǔ. Du Yu's commentary on the Zuozhuan says: '僂 means to hunch upwards.'
