猥閙（上隈隗反蒼頡篇云猥頓也廣雅云眾也考聲云不正而溫也說文云犬吠聲也故從犬畏聲下拏𰋶反俗字也前有部律第四十四卷已具釋也）。

> Clamorous and bustling \[猥閙\]: The first character (wei + wei \[wěi\]) is explained in the Cang Jie pian: 'Wěi means sudden/abundant.' The Guangya states: 'A multitude.' The Kaosheng states: 'Irregular and crowded.' The Shuowen states: 'The sound of dogs barking; hence formed with "dog" \[犬\] as radical and wèi \[畏\] as phonetic.' The second character (na + \[𰋶\] \[nào\]) is a vulgar character. It has already been fully explained in Fascicle Forty-Four of the Sarvāstivāda Vinaya.
