跳躑（上庭遙反蒼頡篇云跳踊也廣雅跳上也古今正字蹶然舉也從足兆聲也下程亦反字正作蹢論文作擲俗字也顧野王云躑躅騾舉足不進也古今正字從足鄭也）。

> Leaping and halting (跳躑: the first is pronounced \[庭 + 遙\] \*tiáo\*. The Cangjiepian says: '跳 means to jump.' The Guangya says: 'To leap upward.' The Gujin zhengzi says: 'To suddenly lift oneself up. It takes the radical zú and the phonetic tiào.' The second is pronounced \[程 + 亦\] \*zhí\*. The correct character is 蹢; in the treatise text it is written as 擲, which is a vulgar form. Gu Yewang says: '躑躅 means when a mule lifts its foot but does not move forward.' The Gujin zhengzi has it with zú and zhèng phonetic).
