> Indulgent and craving (耽嗜: the first character has the fanqie 答含; its correct form is 媅. Kong Anguo's Commentary on the Book of Documents states: 'Excessive indulgence in pleasure is called 媅.' Han Ying's Commentary on the Odes states: 'The extreme of taking pleasure.' Jia Kui states: 'To crave.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It means taking pleasure. It is formed from \[the semantic component\] "woman" (女) and has 甚 as phonetic.' The Shenglei also writes it as 妉, 躭, or 酖, all meaning the same. The second character has the fanqie 時利; Kong's Commentary on the Book of Documents states: 'Craving without satiety.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Liking desires. It is formed from \[the semantic component\] "mouth" (口) and has 耆 as phonetic.').
